VVS Promotional Jacket 1 of 1

This 1/1 came about when I was getting ready to go hangout with this girl I had a crush on. I stopped into Pac Sun just to buy a new shirt b/c mine had the brown sweats stains on the armpits. They weren’t that bad but I wasn’t trying to be that guy today. I’m looking thru the clearance section find this blank all black dickies coach jacket. I fell in love because it was thicker then the usual dickies coach jackets that I’ve come across. The thick cotton nylon lining makes it perfect jacket for all year around in Seattle. Instantly I knew I was going to turn it into a Basics piece. I just didn’t know what yet. Thank you Pac Sun for providing the very first 1 / 1 Basics piece.

I had already had a couple of jacket designs in the hard drive, but I wasn’t set on any of them for this jacket. I had the thought of creating some simple but it’ll still give you that wow factor when you see it. Something I could wear almost everyday. I sat down at This That Seattle which is the print shop I work with for majority of my products. Ocean who is the embroidery guy over there sat down with me and helped me finalize on this product. We played with a lot of different threads before we came across the VVS thread. He so happened to be working on another project for Flying Coffin where they had also used hints of the thread in their logo. The location logo hit w/ the VVS thread is just glows like a rainbow. Which is where we got the name VVS. If you’ve ever seen VVS diamonds in person and you get a chance to view this jacket in person you’ll see there is no difference between their glows. Special thank you to the homies at This that Seattle for helping bring this project to life.
